City Officials Who are Positive for COVID-19 Carry Out Self-Isolation and Work from Home

Jakarta Government has carried out swab tests for employees at government offices to ensure people to get services safely and comfortable. Based on swab tests taken in the past few weeks, number of Jakarta Government officials have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. This information was conveyed by Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah, at Jakarta City Hall, on Thursday (8/27).
Those who are suspected positive for COVID-19 are currently doing self-isolation and still carrying out tasks from home
"From swab test result, number of our officials are confirmed positive. Those who are suspected positive for COVID-19 are currently doing self-isolation and still carrying out tasks from home because they don't have any symptoms thus they remain on duty without direct interaction at the office," he explained, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

"Meanwhile for other echelon II officials within Jakarta Government who also underwent swab test had negative for COVID-19 and were in good health thus they can carry out their duties as usual. Of course, health protocols are implemented during the activities," he added.
He asserted that Jakarta Government's efforts in intensifying testing and tracing will be continued during the pandemic in order to curb COVID-19 transmission. City, he continued, also prepared treatment by providing capacity of isolation rooms and ICU in referral hospitals for COVID-19 in Jakarta.
Jakarta Government will continue to implement strict health protocols at government offices, including carrying out disinfectant spraying regularly, requiring employees to wear mask, maintaining safe distance minimum 1 meter, providing hand washing facilities, hand soap and hand sanitizer in various locations that are easily accessible to employees.
