Thousand Islands Acting Regent Junaedi has called on the North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency to spray disinfectant maximally on existing transportation modes at every port and dock on residential islands.

According to him, it was important as the mode of transportation most often used by residents and tourists from and to Thousand Islands.

"It can be carried out on traditional boats, speedboats and ships belonging to the Transportation Agency, which aims to curb the COVID-19 spread," he expressed, Thursday (9/3).

His sub-agency also instructed related regional working units (UKPD) to check the sanitation facilities, which were their responsibility, such as the availability of clean water and soap at hand washing facilities in public places.

"Especially on weekends, many tourists visit the Thousand Islands," he exclaimed.
