PT. Transjakarta Launches the All New Mikrotrans Fleets

Today, PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) launched The All New Mikrotrans at its office on Jl. Mayjen Soetoyo, Cawang, East Jakarta.

Mikrotrans will be the mainstay transport for residents

The launch of Transjakarta New Mikrotrans fleet with capacity of 15 people was held on the National Customer Day and was directly led by Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo.

He assessed, this fleet was made according to the Transportation Minister Regulation (Permenhub) No. 29/2015 on Minimum Service Standards for Public Transportation with routes that require the use of air conditioner (AC) in vehicles and excellent service.

Two Temporary Bus Stops will Be Built in BI Area

By operating this New Mikrotrans, Jakarta Government is expected to prioritize aspects of comfort, safety, security, affordability, and equality which are the principles for fulfilling the established public transportation.

"Mikrotrans will be the mainstay transport for residents because it facilitates people to travel from one feeder to the others, or to the bus shelters, MRT stations, and KRL stations," he mentioned, Friday (9/4).

He expected the All New Mikrotrans fleet can make people more interested in using public transportation. Moreover, Jakarta Government is committed to implement physical distancing policy in public transport service during the pandemic by limiting passengers up to 50 percent.

"We want to give a comfort feeling and safety to the passengers," he added.

On the other hand, PT. Transjakarta President Director, Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo explained, the New Mikrotrans fleets will be tested for the next six months on Jak 10 Tanah Abang route. The trial is needed to review the technical and commercial aspects before setting tariff for New Mikrotrans, which is also integrated with Jak Lingko.

"After testing the technical and commercial aspects, we will calculate the result. Later on, we will determine the tariff," he conveyed.
