Every Tuesday and Thursday, LH Agency Office Opens Free Emission Test for Public

Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency will hold free emission test for public starting from September 15, 2020 at Jakarta LH Agency Office in Cililitan, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

We are open the service from 9 AM to 2 PM

Jakarta LH Agency Head, Andono Warih mentioned, this free emission test will be carried out every Tuesday and Thursday until December 2020 for four-wheeled vehicles that using gasoline and diesel.

"We are open the service from 9 AM to 2 PM," he informed, Monday (9/7).

This activity is carried out to realize Jakarta Langit Biru (Jakarta Blue Sky) program and implement Gubernatorial Regulation No. 66/2020 concerning Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Test. The emission test is a measurement of motor vehicle exhaust gas to detect vehicle engine performance.

"By taking the emission test, we can know the level of dangerous substances that are not good for the environment, while helping the realization of Jakarta Blue Sky," he stated.

Vehicle owners can get benefits from taking the emission test, such as knowing the effectiveness of fuel combustion process in the engine after analyzing the content of carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas. In addition, it can also help vehicle owners to adjust the air and fuel mixture quickly.

"Thus they can save fuel and optimize car's power engine and make the environment healthier because of the cleaner air," he said.

Through emission test, he added, vehicle owners can know the condition of vehicle's engine performance whether it is healthy or not, and know early if there is a damage in the vehicle engine.

"After taking emission test, we will print out the evidence of passing the emission test from emission test information system and statement of passing the emission test from test information system," he stated.
