Jakarta Baznas Bazis Targets to Renovate 500 Housing Units

Jakarta Baznas Bazis targeted 500 underprivileged residents of Jakarta to receive assistance in form of house renovation program in 2020.

Jakarta Baznas Bazis Chairman, Luthfi Fatullah conveyed, house renovation program for underprivileged residents used zakat, infaq, and shadaqah collected from Jakarta residents. His side allocated budget Rp 50 million for one housing unit.

"If there is additional assistance from the locals, budget to renovate the recipient's house can reach Rp 75 - 100 million," he stated, Wednesday (9/9).

Jakarta Baznas Bazis Utilization Distribution Division Head, Ahmad Soleh mentioned, as many as 150 underprivileged residents have received house renovation assistance from January to August period.

The assistance was distributed through stages of submissions by local residents. Then Jakarta Baznas Bazis conducted a survey to the location.
