Regency Tightens Exit and Entrance Access to Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands Regency tightened supervision at the main access ports to Thousand Islands, including Kali Adem, Marina Ancol, Rawasaban and Tanjung Pasir Ports.

Personnel will ensure passengers and boat crews to comply with health protocols in their departure and arrival

Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi stated, this supervision was carried out by joint personnel from Safe Island Task Force, health team, Dishub, Satpol PP, Police, and TNI.

His side tightened exit and entrance access by opening one-way gate at the main port in each inhabited islands. Besides, passenger boats should maintain distance between vessels, provide termal gun, and transport maximum 50% of passenger capacity.    

Jakarta Dishub Water Transport Unit's Service Head, Sulistiyono Widodo mentioned, Dishub's passenger boats at Muara Angke Port only serve Thousand Island residents (by checking domicile from e-ID card), civil apparatuses (ASN), TNI/Police, and other personnel on duty in Thousand Islands by showing their ID card and letter of assignment.

"This policy is effective starting today until undetermined time limit," he added.

During PSBB period, Dishub boats only operate on Monday-Friday at 5 AM-6 PM and don't operate on Saturday and Sunday.

"Boat capacity only allowed up to 50% of total passenger seats. Each seats divided by cross signs. Tickets are still sold for half price to all destinations in Thousand Islands," he said.
