During the Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period, Jakarta Government focuses on tightening and making people more discipline in complying health protocols in order to avoid COVID-19 transmission in office cluster.

Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration (Nakertrans) and Energy Agency Head, Andri Yansyah explained, essential business sectors that are allowed to operate during PSBB should limit employees by 50% and carry out health protocols.
Meanwhile, non-essential business sectors are allowed to operate during PSBB by limiting employees up to 25%.
PSBB, Anies Focuses on Suppressing Transmission in the Office"In the previous PSBB period, non-essential offices or business sectors must be closed, but this time, they are allowed to operate by limiting employees up to 25% and carry out health protocols," he stated, Monday (9/14).
If there is positive case found in office area, then his side will stop the whole operation within 3 days to sterilize the location with disinfectant.
This policy is different with the Transitional PSBB period that only temporarily suspended the activities and operation in division where the positive employees work.
"In Transitional PSBB period, we only close the related division where the employees who confirmed positive work, but based on Pergub No. 88/2020, all the operation must be stopped because we don't want COVID-19 transmission cases in office cluster," he asserted.
Related to sanctions, Jakarta Nakertrans and Energy Agency will impose sanctions on offices or companies that don't implement COVID-19 prevention protocols. Especially, offices or companies that don't report to the authority when their employees are confirmed positive for COVID-19 will get stricter sanctions.
Companies or offices which violate the regulation will be closed and fined Rp 50,000,000. This administrative fine applies progressively if the mistakes are repeated.
"So, if the company or office covers it up and get caught, we will close them down and fine Rp 50,000,000. If they still repeat the mistake, we will fine Rp 100,000,000. If they keep doing mistake, Rp 150,000,000. Therefore, employees can report if there are positive cases in their workplaces," he conveyed.
According to him, Jakarta Government has applied progressive fines to the health protocols violators which managed in a system called Jakarta Awasi Peraturan Daerah (JakAPD). Those who want to report can access bit.ly/psbb-kantor-tempatkerja or contact the call center.
Companies that don't want to pay administrative fines will be closed until the related companies can pay it.
"When PSBB period is over, situation becomes safer, the company still has to pay according to the fine given. No fine payment means
we will continue to close it. But if they secretly operate, we will recommend for revoking its business permit," he closed.
