TIM Revitalization Progress Reaches 37.60 Percent

The iconic Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) arts and culture center revitalization project in Cikini, Central Jakarta is still undergoing.

The current progress being made is to construct a park parking building and a library and art guesthouse

PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro/Perseroda) Corporate Communication Manager said the project, which was now entering its 62nd week had reached 37.60 percent.

"In phase 1, we have completed the Amir Hamzah Mosque. The current progress being made is to construct a park parking building and a library and art guesthouse," she expressed, Tuesday (9/29).

She informed that the park parking work had touched 82.19 percent, which included work on the fire station area structure, finishing the fire station area, the first and second floors, the mezzanine floor, the roof floor and making parking line markers.

As for the library and art guesthouse had entered 16.43 percent. "We're now doing basement excavation, as well as strutting and pile cap works," he told.

She added its work would be ongoing amid the pandemic. According to the rules, the construction sector is one of the fields that is exempted from continuing to operate.

"Certainly we remain implement health protocols in the field," she stressed.

As for the information, TIM revitalization is executed on a 72,551-square meter width land. After the phase 1 is done, it would touch the phase 2, which is revitalizing Graha Bhakti Budaya, an arts training center, upgrading Planetarium, courtyard theater and complementing the overall landscape and infrastructure.

It has been ongoing since July 2019 and will last several stages until July 2021.
