Hindari Bisnis Collapse, MRT Jakarta Ajak Kolaborasi UMKM

MRT Jakarta Encourages Collaboration with MSMEs

PT MRT Jakarta is going to cooperate with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in a bid to increase income from the non-farebox sector or precisely other than MRT tickets.

Income from ticket sales (farebox) is still important, despite we collaborate with MSMEs

William Sabandar, President Director of PT MRT said the collaboration was needed, one of which was to exist amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Income from ticket sales (farebox) is still important, despite we collaborate with MSMEs," he expressed, Thursday (10/1).

MRT Passengers Decreased Within Two Weeks of PSBB

She stated the comparison between income from non-farebox and farebox businesses would be 4:1.

"This is very important, to prevent the business from collapsing. For this year, with a ratio of 4:1, we could receive 20 percent from farebox and 80 percent from non-farebox," he described.

To increase company revenue, he furthered, the company began to develop a business without ticket sales, such as optimizing social media, sites and station areas as a medium for advertising sponsors who are interested in working together to provide locations for MSMEs or retailers to trade around the MRT Jakarta area.

"This is what we have done so far. Innovations to UMKM continue to be made," he told.

Not only that, his party was currently preparing a space that could be rented by Jakartans to work with the concept of a 'co-working space' or workspace around the station.

"As the initial stage of co-working space, will be at the HI station, inside the station. This will be a plus in itself. So the principle must be collaborate. Most businesses suffer in times of a pandemic like this. Therefore, we're looking for and inviting partners to collaborate," he stated.
