East Jakarta SDA Personnel Evacuate Residents Affected by Flood

As many as 13 personnel from East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Unit helped flood victims in Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara to evacuate on Monday (10/5).

For information, residential area in Kampung Melayu was flooded by about 50-170 centimeters due to overflowing Ciliwung River.

Jatinegara SDA Unit Coordinator, Tamrizal conveyed, those personnel were deployed from 4 AM to evacuate residents at RT 11/05 and RT 13/04 Kampung Melayu who were affected by flood.

"We deploy personnel to evacuate those who are affected by flood in Kampung Melayu," he added, Monday (10/5).

According to him, his side has evacuated 5 elderly people and moved valuables that belong to the residents to a safer place.

"Until now, our personnel are still on the field to handle flood and help evacuating residents and their belongings," he explained.
