The Indonesian President Joko Widodo headed to State Palace from governor official residence on Jalan Taman Suropati No 7 Menteng escorted by Jakarta Provincial Government and City Council, Wednesday (10/22).

Based on beritajakarta.com monitoring, the city government officials started to come at 6 AM by wearing batik.

There were 72 SKPD and UKPD listed on attendance list. The officials are Head of Education Dept. Lasro Marbun, Head of Fire and Disaster Handling Dept. Subejo, Head of Housing and Regional Government Building Dept. Yonathan Pasodung, Head of Inspectorate Franky Mangatas, Deputy of Tourism and Culture Sylviana Murni, and Head of Tourism and Culture Dept. of Arie Budhiman.

The mayor from five areas were also attending; East Jakarta Mayor HR Krisdianto, South Jakarta Mayor Syamsudin Noor, West Jakarta Mayor Anas Effendy, and North Jakarta Mayor Heru Budi Hartono. Others were City Council Head Prasetyo Edi Marsui and Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama.

Basuki and his wife Veronica Tan arrived at 7.22 AM, while Joko Widodo with his family arrived at 7.35 AM.

As they arrived, Jokowi and Basuki held a closed meeting. After that, they headed to State Palace at 8.05 AM by riding Toyota Hiace.

Jokowi and his wife were on the same car with Basuki and his wife.

Meanwhile, Jokowi's two sons and other officials rode different cars.

A moment after they arrived, Jokowi took the guests walked around the palace.

"Mr governor wants to escort me, even though it has been 2 days from inauguration. But this is our culture," Jokowi said.

Besides, Basuki admitted that he wants to escort Jokowi and visits the palace at once. "I've never came in before," Basuki admitted.
