3,000 Cloth Masks Distributed to Residents in South Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands TP PKK distributed 3,000 cloth masks to residents in South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Each sub-districts get 1,000 cloth masks

Thousand Islands TP PKK Chairperson, Rita Susanti Junaedi conveyed, mask assistance was provided by Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) which distributed to Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, Pari Island Urban Village, and Tidung Island Urban Village.

"Each sub-districts get 1,000 cloth masks. We involve PKK cadres at urban village level to help its distribution," she said after handover the mask at South Thousand Islands Sub-district Office, Wednesday (10/7).

5,519 Masks Distributed to Pondok Bambu People

She hopes this assistance can make people more comply with health protocols in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission by wearing mask.

"We distribute it, especially to elderly, breastfeeding mothers, pregnant women, and PAUD teachers based on data collected by dasawisma," she stated.

Not only cloth mask, her side also distributed supplementary feeding (PMT) in form of mung beans, biscuits, and milks through posyandu at urban village level.

Meanwhile, South Thousand Islands Sub-district Head, Angga Saputra instructed PKK cadres at urban village level to distribute cloth masks directly to the residents.

"We hope they can also educate and socialize residents to comply with health protocols. We will warn anyone who violate the protocols," he stated.
