East Jakarta Deputy Mayor Ensures Readiness of Disaster Management Infrastructure

East Jakarta Deputy Mayor Hendra Hidayat together with three pillars today are monitoring the readiness of infrastructure and facilities in flood disaster management in the region.

Many of these refugee camps have been set up to prevent crowds and to anticipate the spread of COVID-19

The monitoring carried out at the East Jakarta Youth Center yard also involves a number of elements. They are 051/Wijayakarta Korem Commander Brig. Gen. TNI R. Sidharta Wisnu Graha, East Jakarta Metro Resort Police Chief Comr. Pol. Arie Ardian Rishadi, East Jakarta Satpol PP Head Budi Novian and other officials.

The deputy mayor said that the flood mitigation infrastructure had been prepared at the East Jakarta Youth Center, Jalan Otista Raya, Jatinegara. The details included a mobile public kitchen, a rubber boat, an ambulance and a cleaning truck.

"There is also a truck belongs to Forestry Sub-agency, a fire engine and a truck belongs to SD Sub-agency and other facilities," he said, Friday (10/9).

His party also provided refugee camps in several urban villages, sub-districts, sport halls (GOR), mosques, schools and other places.

"Many of these refugee camps have been set up to prevent crowds and to anticipate the spread of COVID-19," he explained.

Meanwhile, Brig. Gen R. Sidharta Wisnu Graha added, for East Jakarta area, his party alerted 500 personnel of Military Command (Koramil) and Military District (Kodim) to the field.

"They are ready to assist in flood mitigation," he said.
