114 Urban Parks in Central Jakarta will Be Opened Gradually

The Central Jakarta Parks and Urban Forest Sub-agency is about to reopen 114 urban parks across eight sub-districts in the near future.

Opening to the public will be done using the safety first principle

Central Jakarta Parks and Urban Forest Sub-agency Head Mila Ananda said they would be reopened gradually, because of considerations to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"Opening to the public will be done using the safety first principle," he expressed, Friday (10/16).

Three Parks in West Jakarta Reopened to the Public

He stated one of parks that had been open to the public at this time was only Lapangan Banteng. While the remaining was scheduled within two weeks with the implementation of health protocols and limitation to only 50 percent of the normal capacity of the number of visitors.

"This is beyond the park in RPTRA and Monas which are managed by other agencies," he told.
