Seven pump houses belong to the South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency have been alerted to overcome floods on the underpass, during the rainy season.
South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head Heru Suwondo said routine checks and maintenance were carried out on the supporting facilities for the seven pump houses in order to get a better function.

He furthered those house pumps were located on Kuningan, Kartini (Point Square), Kebayoran Lama, Bungur, Trunojoyo and Manggarai underpasses.
"The generator in the pump house also works well, if the power fails, the generator will immediately turn on," he told.
His party also routinely cleaned the trash in the temporary storage pool thus it would not be sucked in by the pump machine before the water flowed to the nearest river.
"We have four officers to monitor pump houses and anticipate floods in underpass area," he stated.
