Central Jakarta Bina Marga Focuses on Anticipating Inundation on the Roads

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency is currently focused on anticipating inundation in several roads in 8 sub-districts in the region, such as Jalan K.H. Mas Mansyur and Jalan Penjernihan, Karet Bivak.

Thus when there is a clogged gutter, they can fix it immediately

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Head, Rakim Sastranegara mentioned, currently his side made mud catcher gutters and installed street gutters in several locations.

"We repair all roads in the region to prevent inundation when rain falls," he said, Thursday (10/1).

In order to ensure street gutters are functioning properly, his side formed task force teams in 8 sub-districts who will check gutters' condition every day.

"Thus when there is a clogged gutter, they can fix it immediately," he added.

His side also deployed pump house officers to be on standby for 24 hours at Matraman Underpass, Senen Underpass, Dukuh Atas Underpass, and Angkasa Underpass.

"They will be on standby for 24 hours to anticipate the occurrence of high intensity rainfall," he closed.
