Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency repaired Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) pump at Tidung Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-agency.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Abdul Rouf conveyed, this pump repair is a part of routine maintenance to ensure it can function optimally.

"We also clean IPAL thus manhole from household drains are kept clean and not clogged. Moreover, it is already rainy season," he mentioned, Wednesday (10/21). 

He explained, when water pump operates well and manhole is clean, wastewater extraction can run optimally. This condition will prevent flood from occuring in rainy season.

"By this way, wastewater treated by IPAL will have a good quality and free from garbage thus it is ready to be disposed to the sea," he said.
