Around 45 personnel under Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency have been dispatched to clean the micro drains in RT 10-12/RW 07, CPI Housing Complex, Cempaka Putih Barat Urban Village.
Cempaka Putih Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head Subandi said it had been ongoing since Wednesday (10/21).
Four Drains in Cilangkap Cleaned"We received complaints from residents on October 20 and we immediately followed up the next day," he expressed, Friday (10/23).
He stated the drains in three spots had 70 cm height with a silt thickness of 20 to 30 cm.
"Besides that we also tear down the drain covered by a concrete," he told.
After it was done, he was optimistic that the water could recede quickly in the rainy season. He also urged locals not to throw trash in the drain.
"It is targeted to be complete within three weeks ahead," he said.
