Joint personnel from PPSU, Water Resources (SDA) Unit, and Park and Urban Forest Unit cleaned Situ Munjul Reservoir, on Jalan Wijaya Kusuma, RW 04 and 05, Munjul Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Saturday (10/24).

Munjul Urban Village Head, Sumarjono mentioned, as many as 29 personnel cleaned the 5-hectare reservoir manually using hoe, crowbar, machete, chainsaw, broom, and others.
"In this cleaning, joint personnel are deployed to cut down weeds, dismantle illegal sheds and clean up reservoir area," he conveyed.

"If we can arrange Situ Munjul Reservoir well, it can minimize flood from occuring in Cilangkap Setu, Lubang Buaya, Cipayung and Bambu Apus Urban Village," he stated.
Cleaning at Situ Munjul Reservoir area, he added, had been carried out for three weeks and hadn't been completed yet. In the future, his side will also deploy number of heavy equipment.
"Currently, all heavy equipment are being used to dredge rivers and reservoirs in East Jakarta. After dredging work finished, those heavy equipment will be used to clean Situ Munjul Reservoir area," he said.
