Fire Incident Damaging Server for Auction Process

The burning electrical panel room on the basement 2 of Jakarta City Council (DPRD) Building a while ago, is still leaving the issue. The issue is fire incident has an impact on the destruction of the server's data owned by the Jakarta Electronic Goods and Services Procurement System (LPSE). It inhibits the auction process through Jakarta Goods and Service Procurement Unit (ULP).

Jakarta ULP Head, I Dewa Gede Sony disclosed since October 4-13, the auction could not be held due to inaccessible server. "The burning electrical panel room on the basement 2 has an impact on the server. Thus we cannot do the auction," he lamented, at City Hall, Friday (10/24).

He also gets complaints from bidders. "We are actually just the user and its server responsibility lies in the LPSE. We also already discussed it along with the LPSE and the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP)," he explained.

Coordinator of East Jakarta-Based Journalists Working Group (Pokja 4), Agus Darmanto expressed that his party is not able to work optimally for almost a month. The reason, all documents cannot be opened and most the existing data missing.

"The damaged server was announced on October 4-13. It caused by fire incident a while ago," he exclaimed.

Thus far, he furthered, he is still waiting for recommendation from the BPKP. The ULP cannot change the auction schedule if they have no legal foundation. "Nevertheless, we already have recommendation thus we may prolong the auction time," he uttered.

Darmanto added, server can already be accessed even though it is unstable. Luckily he only faces small activity that has not been auctioned. Its fund is about Rp 1-2 billion. "There are hundreds of activities, but its amount is not a lot," he revealed.
