1,147 Additional Health Volunteers Deployed to Handle Covid-19

Jakarta Health Agency has recruited 1,147 new volunteers to handle Covid-19 in Jakarta. They will be placed in 309 health centers (Puskesmas) and Health Sub-agencies.

They have started serving at Sub-district and Urban Village Puskesmas units

Jakarta Health Agency Head, Widyastuti mentioned, these 1,147 additional volunteers have passed the selection from total 2,404 applicants, which consist of 1,137 Contact Tracers and 10 Data Managers.

"They have received assignment letter from Main Secretary (Sestama) of BNPB RI symbolically at the commemoration of 56th HKN event at Pola Room, Jakarta City Hall," she explained, Saturday (11/14).

According to her, the selected Contact Tracers and Data Managers will carry out their duties until the end of December 2020 and must be present at Puskesmas for eight working hours a day.

"They have started serving at Sub-district and Urban Village Puskesmas units," she added.

For information, contact tracer volunteers at health center level should have minimum D III in health major. While Data Managers at Regency/Municipality level should be at least finished S2 in health major and preferably to have Registration Certificate (STR) of Health Epidemiologist.
