107 Online Public Transport Units Take Emission Test Held by LH Agency

Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency collaborates with tech companies in transportation and transportation service sectors to participate in free emission test which conducted until December 2020.

Jakarta LH Agency Deputy Head, Syaripudin appreciated the companies for carrying out environmentally friendly initiatives.

Previously, 107 Gojek partners were involved in motor vehicle emission test held on Thursday (11/19). It consisted of 61 cars and 46 motorcycles. Next, PT. Grab will also participate by taking the free emission test on Tuesday (11/24).

"We hope this collaboration can be continued," he expressed, Friday (11/20).

According to him, both companies had shown concrete steps in facilitating community, particularly their partners, to have an environmentally friendly lifestyle.

"Gojek and Grab that have actively taken the initiative showed their supports to Jakarta Government in realizing Jakarta Langit Biru program," he conveyed.

Through emission test, his side expected people, including Gojek and Grab partners/drivers to know about their vehicle's exhaust gas quality and try to take care their vehicles' condition thus the exhaust gas quality can meet the standards set by government.

"Emission test can be also taken to determine vehicle's engine quality thus it make be more efficient in fuel use and in controlling exhaust emission," he mentioned.
