Public Reading Parks in Central Jakarta Intensified

“Many teenagers hang around in those two parks. We had expelled them, but they got angry and drew our houses’ walls with dirty words,” told Erwin.

Responding on this matter, Head of West Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Sulis, admitted that his side often received reports about those parks being abused their functions and used for nasty actions.

“Our responsibilities are just to manage the park and nurture the plants. For the park misapplication, the ones that should be proactive are the urban village party and (local) security,” he stated.
