The six channels development in Central Jakarta, which has been conducted since October 20, is targeted for completion on December 20.

Construction and Drainage Improvement Division Head Maman said, its development spent Rp 7 billion from the 2020 city budget (APBD).

"Those six channels are located on Jalan Kebon Kacang IX (500 square meters long), Jalan Cempaka Putih Tengah (541 meters long), Krekot Jaya (500 meters long)," he expressed, Monday (12/7).

Then Duri Pulo I (268 meters long), Jalan Bangau (410 meters long) and Jalan Sanggau (148 meters long).

"This project work is actually the result of the 2019 Musrenbang," he told.

He added they were widened and deepened using u-ditch material in order to accommodate water in large quantities.

"Hopefully after it is done, those roads can be free from puddles and floods," he hoped.
