Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency issued Circular Letter (SE) No. 400/SE/2020 concerning Operational Procedures for Tourism Business at New Year's Eve 2021 in Accordance with Transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) Period in DKI Jakarta Province.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency Acting Head, Gumilar Ekalaya stated, tourism business places, both hotels and restaurants are not allowed to celebrate New Year's Eve activities that are potential to cause crowds.
"Since we are still in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, thus we make circular letter to all tourism businesses, hotels and restaurants for not holding New Year's Eve celebration. Every the end of the year, they usually offer new year celebration packages, venues, combined with rooms. That is what we are aiming," he stated, Tuesday (12/15).

"We also have groups and share the information to them. Satpol PP and Polda Metro also helped to socialize it. I think this way we can reach all tourism business places," he mentioned.
He said that Internal COVID-19 Task Force Team which deployed in hotel and restaurant businesses was asked to carry out monitoring, ensure no crowds, and discipline visitors to implement health protocols to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
Besides, all tourism businesses are required to comply with operating hours according to applicable regulations.
"Because our domain is tourism business, so we encourage the managers there should be no guests celebrating new year. We asked them to sort their guests. The Internal Task Force whose duty in hotels and restaurants will also report to us periodically," he asserted.
Joint team which consisted of Jakarta Parekraf Agency, Satpol PP, and Polda Metro Jaya will directly observe and monitor tourism business places to ensure them for not violating the regulations. Jakarta Government will take firm action if there is violation on health protocols at tourism business places.
"Jakarta Government will give sanction in accordance with Pergub No. 101/2020," he conveyed.
