487 Joint Personnel Alerted to Cast Out Convoys

As many as 487 joint personnel hold area restriction at three zones in East Jakarta, Thursday (12/31). The personnel will also guard TMII and East Flood Canal.

The personnel are already standby since morning

East Jakarta Traffic Unit Head, Comm. Pol. Telly Bahute said, those personnel are alerted on Jalan Raya Bekasi at Elang Bondol Statue Ujung Menteng, Jalan Inspeksi Kalimalang precisely at Lampiri and Jalan Raya Bogor in front of Panasonic Office.

“We’ll cast out if there is a vehicle convoy,” he said.

No Change in Transjakarta Service During New Year's Eve

Moreover, the personnel are also alerted at East Flood Canal and TMII which is usually crowded by street vendors.

East Jakarta Monitoring and Handling Section Head for Sub-dept. of Transportation, Riky Erwinda stated his personnel will be deployed to assist joint personnel at East Flood Canal and TMII. 16 towing trucks are also standby.

“The personnel are already standby since morning. Not only to handle traffic jam, but the personnel will join to cast out convoys,” he stated.
