Jakarta LH Agency Acting Head (Plt) Syaripudin mentioned, the free emission test will be carried out in four municipalities on January 6-21, 2021.
On January 6, free emission test will be conducted on Jalan Pemuda, East Jakarta. Next, on January 13 in front of CNI Building, West Jakarta.

According to him, free emission test is also conducted to socialize people about Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 66/2020 on Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Testing.
That Pergub regulates motor vehicle owners whose vehicle over three years old and don't pass the emission test will be sanctioned in form of the highest parking rates for using parking area facilities in Jakarta.
"Based on UULLAJ No. 22/2009, Article 285 and 286, the owner can be fined Rp 250,000 for motorbike and Rp 500,000 for car. Law enforcement itself is carried out by Police and Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub)," he assessed.
