Illegal Waste Site in Kembangan Selatan Cleaned Up

After being used as a waste disposal site (TPS) for ten years, a land owned by the Public Works Ministry's Bina Marga directorate general located at RT 07/01, Kembangan Selatan Urban Village, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Friday (10/31), finally began to be cleaned from trash piles.

We will send dump containers in the TPS, thus people do not throw trash haphazardly anymore

West Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department managed to collect trashes weighing five trucks in the site, and then brought it to the Bantar Gebang Landfill, Bekasi City.

"Trash transportation was directly instructed by Head of West Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department. We ensures all trashes will be transported this day," said Operational Staff of Kembangan Sub-District Cleanliness Section, Sutimin.

1,000 Janitors to Clean Up Trashes in Presidential Inauguration

As quoted by beritajakarta.com, besides using five dump trucks, janitors also use heavy equipment type shovel loader. "We will send dump containers in the TPS, thus people do not throw trash haphazardly anymore," he expressed.

Head of Kembangan Selatan Urban Village, Ahmad Faqih stated his side plans to install a portal in order to anticipate local citizens throw trash in such TPS.

"The thing that should we do now is portal installation. So the cars carrying trash from company here cannot enter anymore," he finished.
