26,106 Trees in South Jakarta Have Been Pruned During January-December

It aims to create a sense of safety and comfort for the public

The South Jakarta Parks and Urban Forest Sub-agency has noted that as many as 26,106 trees in ten sub-districts have been pruned throughout January to December 2020.

South Jakarta Parks and Urban Forest Sub-agency Head, Winarto said, from 26,106 trees, 1,562 of them were pruned in Cilandak, 1,996 were in Jagakarsa, 1,557 were in Kebayoran Baru, 1,860 were in Kebayoran Lama, 1,300 were in Mampang Prapatan.

Then 1,925 were in Pancoran, 2,325 were in Pasar Minggu, 1,438 were in Pesanggrahan, 1,873 were in Setiabudi, and 1,796 were in Tebet.

"This action also involves the buser team by pruning 4,683 trees and the park team by pruning 3,791 trees," he told, Thursday (1/7).

For this year, his sub-agency targeted to prune and cut down 24,000-25,000 trees.

"Each month we target 1,500-2,000 trees. It aims to create a sense of safety and comfort for the public," he stated.
