1,978 Trees Pruned in West Jakarta During January-March 2019

West Jakarta Forestry Sub-department has pruned 1,978 prone-to-fall trees in 8 sub-districts during January-March 2019.

Tree pruning is conducted based on citizens' reports and our personnel's monitoring on the field

West Jakarta Forestry Sub-department Head, M. Iqbal explained, in January his side has conducted light pruning to 406 trees, moderate pruning to 71 trees and severe pruning to 11 trees. In February, light pruning conducted to 652 trees, moderate pruning to 94 trees, and sever pruning to 20 trees. While in March, light pruning conducted to 611 trees, moderate pruning to 96 trees and severe pruning to 17 trees.

Rainy Season, 12,032 Trees in East Jakarta Pruned

"Tree pruning is conducted based on citizens' reports and our personnel's monitoring on the field. Besides, we also prune porous trees and sloping trees to anticipate it from falling," he stated, Wednesday (4/24).

This year, his side is targeting to prune 7,800 trees or about 650 trees per month," he conveyed.
