West Jakarta PMI Distributes Wheelchairs to 8 Sub-districts

West Jakarta PMI distributed wheelchair to assist underprivileged people who need wheelchair in 8 Sub-districts throughout West Jakarta.

Each sub-district will receive 1 wheelchair

West Jakarta PMI Chairperson, Baharuddin mentioned, this assistance was given as PMI's commitment in carrying out humanitarian missions in overcoming disaster, providing blood donation, social and health services.

"Wheelchair assistance is given to show our gratefulness since West Jakarta PMI has exceeded target in 2020 by collecting Rp 5.8 billion," he stated, Monday (1/18).

According to him, wheelchairs were given to underprivileged people in West Jakarta.

"Each sub-district will receive 1 wheelchair. Until today, we have distributed wheelchair assistance to 4 sub-districts, namely Wijaya Kusuma (Grogol Petamburan), Kedoya Utara (Kebon Jeruk), Srengseng (Kembangan) and  Pegadungan (Kalideres) Urban Villages," he informed.

One of the recipients, Nafsia (65) thanked PMI for the assistance.

"Thank God and thank you PMI for the assistance. Hopefully it can be useful for the recipients," she stated.
