70 Joint Personnel Prepared for Disaster Mitigation in Ciracas

Anticipating flood disaster in rainy season, 70 joint personnel were gathered at Ciracas Sub-district office's yard, East Jakarta, as a disaster mitigation effort.

During the pandemic, it needs collaboration from various sides to overcome the disaster

Ciracas Sub-district Head, Mamad mentioned, joint personnel were involving sub-district and urban villages civil apparatuses, Satpol PP, Gulkarmat Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, health center (puskesmas), LMK, FKDM, TNI and police.

He assessed that collaboration is needed to overcome disaster because it is the responsibility of all related parties.

"During the pandemic, it needs collaboration from various sides to overcome the disaster," he asserted.

In the current pandemic situation, his side needs to give more attention in handling refugees, thus his side can prevent it from becoming new cluster of COVID-19 transmission.

"If necessary, we need to increase number of evacuation locations to prevent crowds. Including the availability of food supplies in each urban villages," he added.

There are 9 RWs in the region which prone to flood, consisting of 6 RWs in Rambutan Urban Village, 1 RW in Susukan Urban Village, and 2 RWs in Ciracas Urban Village.

"Currently, we have built disaster command posts in 3 urban village offices which areas prone to flood," he closed.
