A Fountain at Kota Train Station Rehabilitated

We rehab the fountain in order to create comfortable place that is always crowded by Transjakarta bus and train passengers

After being neglected nearly a year, a fountain which is located in the middle of the Kota Train Station with Transjakarta bus stop, West Jakarta, finally rehabilitated. The fund that spent Rp 790 million is predicted to finish at the end of the December.

The fountain is hoped can to beautify the station area. Moreover, its location is close to the Kota Tua area.

Head of Ornament Section for Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Department, Tri Rohmat explained the rehabilitation project has been ongoing since a week. The fountain will be installed with a new cup to squirt water.

"We rehab the fountain in order to create comfortable place that is always crowded by Transjakarta bus and train passengers," he said, Monday (11/3).

He explained that the nozzle and pump in the fountain will also be replaced with new ones. In addition, there would be a pump house in the ground as a water connector from underground wells toward the nozzle.

"The needed fund for rehabilitation is a lot, because besides replacing the new tool, the pump house will also be built. We also plan to do drilling as fountain source," he expressed.
