Arjuna Wiwana Horses Statue’s Fountain Repaired

Jakarta City Parks and Cemeteries Department is going to repair some broken facilities at Arjuna Wiwana Horses Statue on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Gambir, Central Jakarta. The work to be done includes repairing fountain installation and water spray pump machine as well as installing lightings.

because the lighting were added, automatically the electrical power raised

“All of the costs are covered by NISP Bank through its Coorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. NISP Bank disbursed Rp 4 billion which all of it is managed by them, not through the department. They control it by self,” stated Head of City Beauty Division for Jakarta City Parks and Cemeteries Department, Nur Lievayanti, Thursday (10/9).

According to Lievayanti, since the past few months the fountain at Arjuna Wiwana Horses Statue is not functioning because three water sprinkler units and three water pumps are broken.

“Because the water sprinklers are broken, eight horse statues that pull the carriage never get water shower as usual,” she said.

Besides repairing fountain installation, Lievayanti told that her party will also install 15 lamps at Arjuna Wiwana Horses Statue, which built at 1987, to make it brighter at night.

“Since the lightings were added, the electrical power is automatically raised from 82.5 Kwh to 113 Kwh. After that, Arjuna Wiwana Horses Statue will be re-opened on December 30, 2014,” she explained.
