Street Vendors Need Place to Move from Kota Station

Kota Station (Beos) area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, which was clean of street Vendor, now crowd with their existence again. Their existence that sell inside the station fence or outside at pedestrian walk, makes the area looks chaotic.

But, they sell again not long after being curbed. We have less personnel to monitor them tightly

The street vendors sell various products starting from soft drink, fruits, woman and children accessories, belt, food and drink, and phone credit. The existence disturbed the people who cross the pedestrian.

Munadi (34), the vendor of women accessory admitted, forced to sell again at the location, because of confuse to find a new place to sell.

Train Station Not Integrated with Transjakarta yet

"I have sell here during 8 years and often being curbed. But, because it difficult to find a new place, me and my friend forced to sell again here," said Munadi, Wednesday (10/29).

Head of PT KAI PR Daops I, Agus Komarudin uttered, especially for the street vendors who sell inside the Kota Station area has often been curbed by his side. It also happen for the street vendor outside the station fence.

"But, they sell again not long after being curbed. We have less personnel to monitor them tightly," said Komarudin.

Komarudin added that the curb will still be applied because the area must clear from street vendors.
