COVID-19, 14 Companies and Offices in East Jakarta Closed

The East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration (Nakertrans) and Energy Sub-agency has noted that at least 14 companies and offices have been closed for their failure to enforce health protocols.

Of 14 violators, 10 are subject to social work sanctions and 4 are given a written warning

Supervision Division Head Heri Saptono said those 14 violators were part of the 117 companies and offices that inspected during January 11-26.

"Of 14 violators, 10 are subject to social work sanctions and 4 are given a written warning," he said, Thursday (1/28).

Restaurants in West Jakarta Still Caught Breaking PSBB Rules

According to him, there were various violations committed, starting from the availability of guest books, assessment forms and not marking public facilities with physical distancing signs.

They also did not have the COVID team, had not posted an integrity pact, had not reported confirmed employees, and the number of employees working exceeded 25 percent.

"They are closed for three days. Sanction is given as deterrent effect to make them more disciplined," he stated.
