The Tanjung Priok Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, North Jakarta conducts the elevation of the Item River's sheet pile on the north side of Jalan Sunter Kemayoran, which is approximately 350 meters long.
Deny Tri Hendarto, Executing Unit Head of Tanjung Priok Sub-district SDA said the work had been carried out since January 5.

He explained it was done to anticipate overflowing waters of Item River to RW 02 area, Sunter Jaya Urban Village.
"We have to do it, as the contour of the north side sheet pile is lower than the south side," he explained.
He added the sheet pile height was increased to 80 centimeters. Currently the work had been completed for 100 meters length.
"By doing so we expect the location can be free from the flooding when rain pours," he hoped.
