Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 1

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of February 1.

The addition of cases today totals 3,614 cases

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 12,221 specimens. 10,312 of them were to diagnose new cases with 3,093 positive and 7,219 negative results.

"The addition of cases today totals 3,614 cases, as 521 cases are the accumulation of data from the previous days, which are newly reported. The number of people tested last week has reached 115,224, while 251,351 people have undergone the swab tests," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (2/1).

As for the number of active cases in Jakarta to date was 24,793 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or increased to 1,411 cases. As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 273,332 cases. Of these cases, 244,202 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 89.8% and 4,337 people died with a death rate of 1.6%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.8%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 17.4%, while Indonesia was 10.2%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.

Together with Satpol PP, the operation for residents who do not wear masks will also be intensified, including other PSBB violations. Hopefully, they can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in stopping the chain of COVID-19.

Here is the recap data of violations and prosecution compiled by Satpol PP in tightening the PSBB as of January 31, at 8 PM, as follows:

A. Masks

- Social Work = 1,218

- Fine = 36

Total = 1,254

B. Restaurant

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities = 9

- Written warning = 67

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 308

- Total = 384

C. Workplaces, Business Places, Industrial Places

- Fine = 0

- Temporary suspension of activities for 3x24 hours = 0

- Written warning = 10

- License Revocation = 0

- Zero violation = 95

Total = 105

D. Value of Fines

- Individual = Rp 4,400.000

- Place of business to eat and drink/restaurant = Rp 0

- Workplace/Industrial = Rp 0

Amount = Rp 4,400,000

Here are the things that need to be done in daily activities amid the pandemic:

1. Stay home if not urgent

2. Always run 3M rules: (Mencuci tangan (washing hands), Memakai masker (wearing masks) and Menjaga jarak (maintaining physical distancing)

3. All activities permitted to operate must be within a maximum capacity of 50% and strictly adhere to health protocols

4. Remind others to always implement health protocols
