Joint Personnel Repair Sheet Pile of Angke Lama River

In order to anticipate inundation when heavy rain falls and increase water discharge capacity, West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency and Kebon Jeruk Sub-district are currently repairing Angke Lama River's sheet pile on Jl. Pesing Koneng RT 12, 13, 14, and 15 of RW 02, Kedoya Utara.

We will close those holes and make drainage channels

Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Head, Saumun said, there were many small holes in the sheet pile walls which made by the residents to drain household waste water directly into the river.

"We will close those holes and make drainage channels which parallel to the irrigation channel. When water level rises, we will drain it to the river using portable pump," he explained, Saturday (2/6).

Collapsed Sheet Pile in Srengseng Sawah Repaired

According to him, Angke Lama River's sheet pile repair at RW 02 Kedoya Utara was carried out along 84 meters. His side will deploy SDA Task Force, Bina Marga Task Force, Forestry Task Force, PPSU personnel, and local residents to close holes on sheet pile walls.

"We have discussed it with residents through RT/RW. The result, they agreed to close the holes. We will start repair it on Sunday (2/7) as well as hold community service work," he mentioned.
