Light Medium Rain Expected Across Jakarta Today

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that rain of light-medium intensity will fall in parts of Jakarta.

Jakartans to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning in South and East Jakarta in the afternoon

"Jakartans to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning in South and East Jakarta in the afternoon. Similar condition will also hit North and West Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands at night and at dawn," stated BMKG's official site, Monday (2/8).

West Jakarta is forecast to see cloudy in the morning, but light rain in the afternoon and at night. Central Jakarta is predicted to be cloudy in the morning yet light rain at night and at dawn.

BMKG Warns of Heavy Rainstorms in Jakarta Until Next Week

South and East Jakarta will be cloudy in the morning. Then light rain is expected in the afternoon but cloudy at dawn.

North Jakarta will be cloudy in the morning and in the afternoon but light rain at night and medium rain at dawn. While in Thousand Islands, the weather will be cloudy in the afternoon and at night. Yet light rain is expected at dawn.

Temperatures in Jakarta today are predicted at 23 to 31 degrees Celsius with humidity of 80 to 95 percent.
