Irwandi Monitors Electric Cable Installation at Angkasa Underpass Pump House

Electrical wiring is attached thus the electricity supply line to the pump house is separate from the residential area

Central Jakarta Acting Head, Irwandi together with his staffs, monitored the installation of electric cables to the Angkasa underpass pump house, on Tuesday (2/9).

According to him, it was done to ensure the flood control pump functions optimally when rain occurred.

"Electric cables are installed thus the electricity supply line to the pump house is separate from the residential area, which aims to avoid simultaneous blackouts," he expressed.

He hoped that it could minimize puddles and floods in the rainy season. His party was also coordinating with the police to secure pump houses in three underpasses and riverbanks spread across eight sub-districts.

"We're going to take firm action against anyone who disturbs the existence of vital facilities, including the operation of flood prevention facilities in Central Jakarta," he asserted.
