Cultural Tourism Destinations in Jakarta Reopened under Health Protocols

Jakarta Culture Agency has finally reopened tourism destinations under health protocols amid the Micro-based Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) that will end on February 22.

If visitor or employee is infected with COVID-19, they will be closed for 3x24 hours to spray disinfectant or sterilization

It is listed in Jakarta Culture Agency Head Decree number 87/2021 on Operational Regulation of Museums and Cultural Arts Performing Buildings during Micro-based PPKM is a follow-up to the Governor's Decree number 107/2021 on Enforcement of Restrictions on Micro-Based PPKM.

Jakarta Culture Agency Head Iwan Henry Wardhana said the policy was intended for visitors and managers.

Protocols for visitors were implementing 3M, checking body temperature, prohibiting from changing seats and passing by, paying for tickets in non-cash, filling in visitor data in the guest book or information system.

"We limit visitors to 50 percent of capacity. They must comply with the established COVID-19 prevention programs," he expressed, Sunday (2/14).

According to him, the museum's visiting hours were limited to 8 AM to 4 PM. Meanwhile, the operating hours of the performance building and the cultural arts training building were in accordance with technical approval.

Aside that, food service should not be done in a buffet, as well as eating and drinking utensils had been sterilized, facility managers and the person in charge of activities should sign an integrity pact for COVID-19 prevention and must process technical approval for activity licensing with the competent authority.

"If visitor or employee is infected with COVID-19, the building will be closed for 3x24 hours to spray disinfectant or sterilization," he uttered.

18. Arts training buildings in five urban areas
