Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Socializes New Targets for COVID-19 Vaccination

Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency disseminates Health Ministry Circular Letter No. HK.02.02/I/368/2021 concerning the Implementation of COVID-19 Vaccination in Target Group for Elderly, People with Comorbidity, and COVID-19 Survivors and Target Delay for Local Health Workers.

Socialization is carried out regarding technical instructions for COVID-19 vaccination implementation for new targets with various special provisions

Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Head, Herwin Meifendi conveyed, socialization was important as a guideline for health workers in Thousand Islands before implementing COVID-19 vaccination to the new target groups.

"Socialization is carried out regarding technical instructions for COVID-19 vaccination implementation for new targets with various special provisions," he stated, Wednesday (2/17).

Several special provisions according to circular letter mentioned that for elderly group aged 60 years and over will be given two doses with an interval of 28 days. While for people with comorbidity and hypertension can be vaccinated as long as there are no acute complications.

"Referring to this regulation, COVID-19 survivors can be vaccinated after passing three months period, as well as for nursing mothers and cancer survivors can be vaccinated," he informed.

Meanwhile, for target delay which previously postponed will be informed again to visit to health service facilities (fasyankes) to get COVID-19 vaccines.

"Through this socialization, we hope COVID-19 vaccination in Thousand Islands can run successfully," he closed.
