"Vaccination is done through collaboration between Health Ministry and Jakarta Government. We expect all workers and traders in trading centers will get vaccines," he said while accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to monitor vaccination held on Wednesday (2/17).
According to him, market is a place where many people interact. Therefore, COVID-19 vaccination can be given for traders to prevent transmission in crowded places or through people interaction.
"Vaccination for Tanah Abang Market traders is a pilot project. There are 153 markets in total that will be given in stages," he added.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Health Agency Head, Widyastuti conveyed, vaccination for Tanah Abang Market traders will be carried out for 6 days. Registration is still opened to facilitate traders who haven't received vaccines.
"We coordinate with Perumda Pasar Jaya to ensure data collection runs well and nothing is missed," she asserted.
