Anies Hopes 2021 Lintas Jaya Operation to Create Culture of Orderly Traffic

Thank you and make this duty as an honor given by the state to foster a culture of orderly traffic

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan led a ceremony for 2021 Lintas Jaya Operation on the yard of City Hall, on Monday (2/22). It was participated by all ranks of Polda Metro Jaya, Pangdam Jaya and Jakarta Provincial Government, consisting of Transportation Agency and Satpol PP.

On that occasion, the governor appreciated all parties that had succeeded the operation, which was very important to realize a Jakarta City that was friendly and orderly in traffic, towards a healthy city and provided road safety related to a culture of orderly traffic for road users and the technical aspects of public transport and goods vehicles.

"Thank you and make this duty as an honor given by the state to foster a culture of orderly traffic," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

It is also to socialize the 5 Pillars of the National Safety General Plan, including road safety management, safety roads, safety vehicles, safety road users, and post-accident care.

"We have to enforce the rules during operations to create a culture of orderly traffic," he added.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo explained, in its execution, the Jakarta administration will focus on dealing with four things. Among them are how to create safe, secure, comfortable transportation and healthy transportation for Jakartans amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"In addition to realizing the technical administrative requirements and roadworthiness of motorcycles, we also monitor health protocols in all public transport services, and crack down on illegal parking and shadow terminals in line with the national general plan for road safety," he stated.
