Central Jakarta Adds 5 Mobile Pumps in 4 Flood-Prone Locations

Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency will place another 5 mobile pumps with capacity 500 liters per second to 4 flood-prone locations.

We make sure it can overcome inundation in those four locations

Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Development and Drainage Improvement Section Head, Maman Supratman stated, those mobile pumps will be installed in Cempaka Putih, Cempaka Baru, Jati Pinggir III, and 2 other pumps on Jalan Plataran.

"These 5 mobile pumps have capacity 500 liters water per second. We make sure it can overcome inundation in those 4 locations," he added.

Central Jakarta SDA Operates 110 Pumps

According to him, additional mobile pumps in flood-prone locations were expected to help existing stationary pumps thus flood handling could be optimal.

"Mobile pumps are needed to help draining floodwater from the road to the river," he mentioned.
