East Jakarta PMI Distributes 33,029 Food Supplements for Children

East Jakarta PMI Headquarter distributed 33,029 boxes of food supplements for children from Monday (3/1) to Tuesday (3/2).

This supplement is for children aged 1-7 years

East Jakarta PMI Headquarter Head, Euis Komala Sari mentioned, this assistance was obtained from PT. Amway which distributed to residents, through urban village offices, sub-district offices, health centers (puskesmas) and others.

According to her, this supplement is used to increase immunity, energy and children's appetite. It is hoped during the pandemic, children from age 1-7 can continue to maintain their immunity.

"This supplement is for children aged 1-7 years. The assistance is given as PT. Amway's concern for children in East Jakarta through children's nutrition caring program during the pandemic," she conveyed, Tuesday (3/2).

In detail, from 33,029 boxes of food supplements, 1,500 boxes were distributed to 10 sub-districts. Then 21,450 boxes for 65 urban villages, and 3,000 boxes for 10 sub-district health centers.

Next, 1,200 boxes for Education Task Forces in 10 sub-districts, 1,050 boxes for 35 PMI volunteers, 3,000 boxes for 50 COVID-19 Task Force personnel, 1,620 boxes of supplements for 27 personnel in blood donation units, and 209 boxes for blood donors.

"We hope children in East Jakarta can maintain their immunity and healthy physically and mentally during the pandemic," he stated.
