Parekraf Tests Tourist Information Center Mobile This March

Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency is currently testing Tourist Information Center Mobile (TICM) in March 2021 in four different locations at 10:00-16:00.

TICM will make it easier for people to know information about tourist attractions in Jakarta

Jakarta Parekraf Agency's Destination and Development Division Head, Shinta Nindyawati said, TICM trial is carried out at Neo Soho Malls on March 1-7; Blok M Terminal on March 8-12; East Flood Canal area in Cipinang Indah until Duren Sawit Ring Road on March 15-21; and at Pakubuwono Terrace Apartment on March 22-28.

"TICM is a door-to-door service that provides tourism information in Jakarta," she informed, Tuesday (3/2).

Parekraf Agency - STIAMI Holds Capacity Building for MSMEs

According to her, TICM service is equipped with staff who will inform residents about tourist destinations in Jakarta.

"TICM will make it easier for people to know information about tourist attractions in Jakarta and our staff can also serve directly people who need information related to tourism, shopping centers, culinary, recreation, and others," she explained.

This year is the first year TICM operates. The purpose of this trial is to see people's response in hope that it can play an active role in providing information related tourism in general to the community.  

"During the pandemic, we will operate it by complying with health protocols to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he mentioned.
