North Jakarta Launches First Coronavirus Vaccination for ASN

The North Jakarta administration, kicked off a COVID-19 vaccination for state civil servants (ASN) today, Friday (3/5). On that occasion, North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim received first Sinovac vaccine jab, which took place in the VIP Room, the local mayor's office.

"Today I get my first vaccine jab and would be continued with the second phase injection in the next two weeks. On Monday (3/5), we will begin vaccination for ASN in North Jakarta," he expressed.

Besides implementing health protocols, he stated, it was a further step for the government to protect the public from the COVID-19. Since mid-January 2021, vaccination for health workers run smoothly and continued with elderly, which was still ongoing now.

"Therefore I want all ASNs and residents in North Jakarta to participate in the success of vaccination activities, which aims to provide safety to protect themselves, their families and people around them thus they can pass through the COVID-19 pandemic," he explained.

North Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head Yudi Dimyati added, after health workers and the elderly, the COVID-19 vaccination would then target ASN and then religious figures, public figures, so forth.

"It will be placed at the Yos Sudarso Hall, North Jakarta Mayor's Office. Meanwhile, ASN at the sub-district and urban village level will be held according to each region," he expressed.

In the meantime, his party has received data on vaccine recipients from the city to urban village level and its implementation schedule would be prepared following the provisions of the health protocol. He said, the total ASN in North Jakarta area was around 3,500 people.

"By so, all employees who face directly with the community can protect themselves and the people who come to get services," he hoped.
