PPKUKM Creates Gebetan UMKM as an Innovation to Support Jakpreneurs

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency made new innovation called 'Gebetan UMKM', abbreviation for Joint Movement for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. This innovation was made to help Jakpreneurs in selling their products.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency's SME Division Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo conveyed, through this movement, her side wanted to encourage civil servants (ASN) at PPKUKM Agency to buy Jakpreneur's products once a month.
"Many fostered entrepreneurs or Jakpreneurs affected by COVID-19 pandemic. Through Gebetan UMKM, we are working together to help them," she mentioned, Monday (3/8).

There are packages for staff, unit head, section head, and echelon III with price starts from Rp 100,000, Rp 120,000, Rp 150,000, and Rp 200,000 for echelon III.
"Each months it will be coordinated by cooperative, thus employees just receive parcel according to the nominal value. Those parcels will be delivered to each sub-agencies and units," she said.
According to her, fostered MSMEs or Jakpreneurs are only given one opportunity to participate Gebetan UMKM thus it is fair for all. They also have to go curation process before their products distributed to ASNs.
"Gebetan UMKM's purpose is to empower and support fostered MSMEs in distributing their products to market in order to boost Jakpreneur's economy," she added.
Gebetan UMKM program is not only a means of marketing and promotion, but also a form of monitoring and evaluation for Jakpreneurs who have been assisted by PPKUKM.
"We as their coach can continue to monitor their product's quality and their progress. So if there is a shortage, we can correct it immediately," she closed.
